The book showcases 17 of his most important buildings, many of them inspired by ancient sites, natural light and spirituality. Written by Joseph Rosa, Director of the University of Michigan Museum of Art, the book is part of Taschen's Basic Architecture series that presents life and work of internationally renowned architects with approximately 120 photographs, sketches and drafts. The series has been edited by German art historian Peter Gössel.
