Published by the Vitra Design Museum, The Vitra Schaudepot - Architecture, Ideas, Objects provides an accurate and richly illustrated view on the Vitra Schaudepot building which opened in 2016. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the Schaudepot building is part of the Vitra Design Museum – it has a collection of around 20,000 items in total, and the permanent collection consists of over 400 key objects of modern furniture design from 1800 to present. Besides giving a chronological view on the Schaudepot collection, the book embeds the objects within their historical context and present the Schaudepot building with detailed photos and drawings.
