The Sade collection from Lapuan Kankurit features a simplistic, spotted pattern designed by Aoi Yoshizawa. The design was inspired by raindrops – the spots are all sharply arranged but differ slightly from each other. Made of a blend of linen and cotton and filled with fire-resistant polyester fibre, the cushion has been woven in Finland at the own weaving mill of Lapuan Kankurit.

Designer
Aoi Yoshizawa is a textile designer and weaver, born in Tokio and currently based in Helsinki, where she graduated as Master of Arts from the Aalto University. Yoshizawa specializes in material, colour and surface design, and finds her inspiration from the elements of daily environments. Her fields of interest include fashion and interior design as well as art-directing, and she has worked with brands such as Tiger of Sweden, Vimma and Lapuan Kankurit.
