Alvar Aalto - The Mark of the Hand delves into Alvar Aalto’s creative process through conversations with architects, model builders and secretaries employed at his atelier. The book consists of discussions in which the employees reminisce on their time working for the renowned architect and designer, referencing several of Alvar Aalto’s projects and the stories behind them, providing an unique view into the inspiration and methods as well as the personal side of the great maestro. The book has been written by Harry Charrington and Vezio Nava, both former employees of Aalto.
