Description

Cintas y sombras cruzadas by artist Perry Oliver is characterised by striking, asymmetrical geometry. The etching from 2001 is a fascinating example of contemporary printmaking: even though the colours are intense, the borders between them are slightly faded, giving the work a soft, three-dimensional feel. The fine art print is part of an edition of 50 prints, and it features the edition number as well as the artist’s hand-written signature at the bottom.

Perry Oliver

Perry Oliver (born 1941) is an American sculptor and printmaker, who has lived and worked in Spain since the 1970s. His work is highly influenced by the 1960s when pop art and minimalism were rooting. He is a singular observer of the relationships that exist, occult for many of us, between the form, the material, and the spirit. Oliver’s pieces have been in dozens of exhibitions and can be permanently found in dozens of museums and public collections, such as the Princeton University Library in New Jersey, Biblioteca Nacional in Madrid and Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt.
