SHFT

SHFT was a Copenhagen-based multidisciplinary design agency founded by Benjamin Hansen and Jan Bachmann. SHFT started in graphic design in 2002, but later expanded to installations, interior design and product design.

SHFT's design focuses on materials, shades and textures. Drawing on the Danish design tradition, the duo say they often seek inspiration from ’60s and ’70s design, and the colorful worlds of circus and Copenhagen’s Tivoli. Although the most important feature of a product is its functionality, they believe design should always also have a touch of humor and playfulness.
