Patricia Urquiola | Bar stools & chairs
The Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola (b. 1961) lives and works in Milan. In 1991 Urquiola began working for the furniture company De Padova in Milan, where she also designed her first furnitures. Between the years 1996 and 2000 she was the manager of Lissoni Associati Design Group and in 2001 she opened her own studio in Milan, where she focuses on product design and architecture. Urquiola has won several design awards and done many projects with various design companies, for example Kartell and Alessi.

What's the difference between bar stools and counter stools?
Many of our designer bar stools and chairs are available in two heights: counter height and bar height. In general, counter-height stools are slightly lower than bar stool chairs designed for kitchen islands or breakfast bars. If you need chairs or stools suited to standard-height tables, counters and desks, visit our selection of luxury counter-height stools.
Not sure what type is best for your table or counter, keep in mind that counter-height stools are usually about 60 cm–25.59 in (65 cm) and bar-height stools about 70 cm–29.53 in (75 cm) in height.
