For the British-born and Hong Kong-based designer Michael Young (b. 1966) travelling is a way of working. In the mid-90's Terence Conran, known for Habitat furniture company, chose Young as his favorite designer and at the same time the Wallpaper magazine praised his designs. The motto of the company is courageously: we create icons instead of products. One example is the Avalon armchair designed for Swedese, which is designed as a tribute to Verner Panton.
Michael Young has designed pieces for the following brands: Swedese
