Arik Levy is a multi-disciplinary artist, designer, photographer and technician who was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1963. He studied industrial design in Switzerland and worked as a lecturer in many design schools around Europe in the 1990s. At the same he did set designs for contemporary dance and opera, such as the Finnish National Ballet.
In 1997 Levy and artist Pippo Lionni founded the L Design studio in Paris, working in various fields of art and design from installations and sculptures to product design. In the 21th century Levy has collaborated with Vitra designing office furniture and objects, such as the storage box Toolbox. During his career Levy has received numerous design awards, such as iF Award, Red Dot Design Award ja Design Plus Award.
