Puutarhurin parhaat and Vellamo tea towels are kitchen accessories from Marimekko. The set includes two tea towels, one featuring Puutarhurin parhaat pattern and the other Vellamo pattern, both by Maija Louekari. Puutarhurin parhaat, which means the gardener’s best yield, was designed by the Finnish Maija Louekari in 2009. The pattern is a sketch-like drawing in black and white with a touch of green and it represents vegetables, flowers and mushrooms. In Puutarhurin parhaat, Maija Louekari has captured the beautiful summer and its bountiful harvest with this garden full of broccolis, pea pods, poppies and other summer products. With its beautiful wave pattern, Vellamo print by Maija Louekari captures the movement of water. In Finnish mythology Vellamo was a sea goddess, often pictured as a mermaid and known for her beauty and long hair.
