Catherine was designed by the Finnish Ilkka Suppanen in 2009. Catherine and Jim represent different characters, chairs with their own qualities that compete for the users’ attention. However, they are also close relatives that share common parts and a consistent form. Jim and Catherine are easy chairs for relaxation. The asymmetrical design (Catherine) inspires to sit relaxed in various positions. The seat is an all-covered pressed wooden construction with a steel base, which is also available with castors. Catherine and Jim are upholstered in Gabriel Europost 100% wool, and available in a choice of white (60000), black (60999), light grey (60004), dark grey (60016), red (64070), orange (63016), yellow (62020), green (68030) or blue (66054).
