In the cushion cover Lappuliisa (Finnish for meter maid), vivid clusters of colors grace the fabric in every shade found in the rainbow. The bright print is by Maija Louekari, one of Marimekko's young talented designers.

While still studying at the University of Art, Louekari won the Marimekko’s design competition Hetkiä/Moments in 2003. Since then, she has designed for Marimekko many patterns with a myriad of success. In addition, she has designed mari’s new bags – a series that is in good company with the tableware patterns.
